Having assisted hundreds of dancers recover from injury, I know how important it is to continue to make progress even (or especially) when you can't train as normal. In fact the silver lining is that you have time to work on things for which you don't normally have time, which helps you become a better dancer than when you had to stop your normal training.
The coronavirus lockdown is no different. Thankfully modern technology enables us to create a 'virtual studio' in your living room where you can follow along with exercises while I check your form and offer corrections.
Each week you will be able to purchase a one-week pass. Registration will open the week before. Six days a week we will run through an hour of strengthening, coordination, activation, flexibility, and stamina exercises to address underlying faults which hinder your technique development. My goal is for your teachers to be pleasantly shocked at how strong, balanced and controlled you look from the first class back in the studio!
You will need regular ballet attire, a mat or something to cushion the floor, water bottle, hand towel, and TheraBand. You will also need a safe place to work with enough space around you to developpe in all directions and enough floor space for floor exercises.
Various passes are available. **Some cover the three-week block of Easter break, others cover Week 3 of UK Schools Closure. Please ensure you double check which pass you are purchasing!
The standard pass for all six, 1-hour classes is called a PASS.
If you haven't met me before for treatment or a previous workshop, you will need to purchase a 'NEW PATIENT' pass which includes the new assessment fee - new assessments must be booked for the Sunday before by emailing to arrange a virtual time.
The FAMILY PASS includes the six 1-hour classes for two or three siblings to join in together.
The BONUS PASS includes the six 1-hour classes and is for existing patients who wish to remain for a 1/2 hour extension class after the Conditioning Class. These will focus on Pointe/Foot Strength, Extensions, Pirouettes, and Allegro specifically.
Please email if you are a new patient or a family and you wish to purchase a Bonus pass.
All class participants have the ability to rewatch the class later in the day, or in the case of a clash with other online classes.
Registration is now open- please sign up to the left.
STOP PRESS: Also new for the Easter break you will see an EASTER PASS valid for three weeks. Please don't confuse this with a week 3 pass - this refers to week 3 of the UK schools closure. If you want to enjoy a discount on three weeks of daily* classes, please purchase an EASTER pass. Each week's class timings will be reconfirmed at the start of each week.
*No class on Good Friday or Easter Monday. Surrounding classes will be lengthened by half an hour to make up six hours of training per week. These 90 minute classes will be from 10-11.30 (with bonus classes going from 11.30-12.15 on these days to make up their missed time) on Thursday 9th, Saturday 11th, Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th April.
During the coronavirus lock-down (or if London is not accessible to you otherwise!) face to face in-person consultations are difficult. However, you can still access a physiotherapist specialised in ballet to either assist with injury rehabilitation or to tailor a facility enhancement programme to maximise your physical conditioning during your time away from the studio. Please click the button to the right to pre-purchase your consultation (1 hour mandatory initial assessment for all new patients and any new episodes of care) and email to arrange a mutually convenient appointment time.
